This is the first year, at our pastor Fr. Anthony's request, the Knights of Columbus of at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in San Diego held Lenten Fish Frys. The four Fridays were a wonderful success. We served about 500 fish meals which included coleslaw, French frys, mac-n-cheese and home made deserts. A special thanks goes out to Judy Kirk (a widow of a Knight) for providing many of the deserts and the leadership to ask others to participate.
Building parish fellowship was our key mission and we know, based on feedback, that this was overwhelming accomplished, not only by those attending but also among all the volunteers, which number for the 4 nights over 50.
Also a special thanks goes out to Mellisa Sanchez for the pictures which she took while also assiting in servering.
Thank you Barry Martin and Jon Vance for doing a great job of organizing and managing all our great volunteers and committee members.
